Hussars' overbearing arrogance, their military pride, the fastidiously sensitive brutality of their honor, has an intensity that is hard to realize for others. The Hussars consider themselves as better horsemen, better swordsmen, better soldiers and better lovers than everybody else. They like to sing songs that insult other regiments and consider themselves distinctly more dashing than Cuirassiers.

In combat the Hussars ride, yelling most unearthly, cursing and brandishing their weapons. They have their own code - that of reckless courage that borders on a death wish! The Hussars are the eyes, ears and … egos of the French Future Legion!
